Punter’s Corner was conceived in 1988 by David Muir and Robert Hance with the purchase of sixteen hectares of vineyard. The operation has considerably expanded in recent years, with three additional vineyard sites being added to the portfolio. Punters Corner Winery The modern winery is labelled ‘innovative’ and run by well known winemaker Peter Bissell in conjunction with Balnaves winery. Pete Balnaves manages the vineyards, seeking exacting standard of viticulture before winemaking occurs. Wine making techniques are modern and utilise cutting edge technology.
This winery takes pride in using some of the best hand-picked grapes from their vineyards, producing tonnes of high-quality grapes every year.
For many years, Punters Corner has been ranked among the best premium wineries in Coonawarra, and they are well known for their Cabernet Sauvignon. The winery also participates in several wine festivals and weekend auctions, taking pride in selling some of their latest barrels at such auctions.
