James Halliday called Tar and Roses “one of the more interesting new arrivals on the Australian winemaking scene”, and owners Don Lewis and Narella King have done wonderful things with this Central Victorian brand.

Don and Narelle’s passion is for Italian (and sometimes spanish) varieties, and this Pinot Grigio has long been one of their most popular wines. Lovely copper colour with fruit-forward flavour, this is just fun to drink and tip top value.

Heathcote’s reputation is for big Shiraz. And they do it so well. But the times they are a changin’ with Italian varieties such as Fiano, Sangiovese, Nero d’Avola and Sagrantino all finding themselves well at home in the ancient Cambrian soils.
