In 2020 we picked a smaller than usual tonnage from our Eden Valley vineyard. Despite drought conditions, the result is one of the best Riesling vintages we have seen in a decade. There is no residual sugar retained as the season produced balanced wines with pristine citrus and mineral flavours. The nose has a floral perfumed edge to it, which makes it lovely to drink as a young wine. The palate is tight and restrained at present and will cellar for many years to come. Tank fermented.
Pale straw, bright green hue
Clean and pure with an abundance of lemon and lime. The citrus characters are enhanced with attractive floral, perfume and talcum powder notes.
Crisp and dry with an amazing acid backbone. Pure characters of citrus and mineral/slate at the forefront with subtle background guava flavours.
Cellaring and Food:
This wine is drinking beautifully now and will age elegantly with cellaring (at least 5 – 15 years). We recommend serving this Riesling chilled with fresh oysters, chilli prawn skewers or cured Atlantic salmon.

Harvested in the cool of the night and fermented cool in stainless steel tank with neutral yeast.
