Tim Adams Shiraz
Tim Adams is a star winery in the Clare Valley of South Australia, producing reference-style offerings from the state’s signature grapes. This Tim Adams Shiraz from Clare Valley is created from carefully selected premium vineyard sites, providing a Clare Valley Shiraz with a distinct regional and varietal character.
The Vintage
The 2017 vintage was produced during a warm and dry growing season, with little rain. As a consequence, our Shiraz has vibrant color, strong flavor, and a well-structured tannin structure. Individual fermentations were conducted on the skins to dryness before being pressed together in this blend. The batches were aged in two and three-year-old American oak barrels for a total of 24 months.
Winemaking Notes
All of the ingredients in this blend were separately fermented on skins and pressed to dryness before being blended together. Only selected softer pressings were returned to the wine.
The wine was aged for 24 months in a mix of two and three-year-old American oak casks selected by the winemaking team. After 9 months in stainless tanks, the oak tannin was softened before blending, fining, filtering, and bottling occurred.
