Where most viogniers from Northern Rhone fade in the first 3-5 years of life the amazingly well priced ‘Arrogant Frog’ has kept its wits while those more serious wines have lost the plot. The success of this wine lies in its’ closure; the screwcap has saved it and preserved much of the youthfulness and vivacity. Colour is straw yellow, lively acids and lots of honeyed notes mingle in a generous mid-palate. A wine that is welcome poolside or tableside. Serve well chilled in the tropical climate.
