Description
Dumenil is an independant Champagne House founded in 1874 & remaining in the family for 5 generations. All vineyards are Premier Cru in the typical chalk soil of Champagne’s Montagne de Reims. Only the first & best juice is used.
Aged for 7 years on lees the vintage 2005 is 60% of Chardonnay & 20% for both Pinot Noir & Pinot Meunier. The cuvée millesime is a very expressive Champagne with quince & prunes aromas & notes of toasted hazelnut. Vinous & round on the palate with hint of minerality & very fine bubbles. Exceptional vintage Champagne.
“Bright wine with gold, silver & green hues. Delicate notes of acacia honey with lemon marmalade, vanilla & brioche. Full bodied, with fine bubbles & good length.” – Industrie Hotelliere

Great, expressive 2007 vintage from three 1er Cru villages – Chigny-Les-Roses (known for PM), Ludes (Known for PM) and Rilly-La-Montagne (known for PN) – all from La GM de Reims. Which is very interesting because this is a blend of 60% Chardonnay and the rest equal balance between PM and PN. Vibrant notes of brioche, toast, hazelnut, flint, lemon, earthy, apple, pear, apricot. Lots of complexity, still retains a good amount of acidity, beautifully in balance. Long, lingering & characterful finish
